Ha superato l'embargo richiesto dalla procura di Parigi: aveva annunciato una multa di 75mila euro per chi avesse diffuso le informazioni in anticipo. Nel linguaggio in codice, il nome di Nicolas Sarkozy era associato all'Ungheria o al vino Tokaji, dalla nazione di origine del padre. L'avversario socialista Francois Hollande era collegato, invece, all'Olanda e al gouda. Dall'estero è stata un'occasione per seguire e partecipare alla discussione.
